| Arrival / Departure |
| Almost 300 campers check-in between 8:45 to 9:00 AM and return home at either 1:30 PM or 3:30 to 3:45 PM. About 100 campers arrive by bus from as far north as Aventura and Bal Harbor and as far south as Dadeland North MetroRail and Douglas Road MetroRail. Arriving children deposit their bag, towel, clean shirt, beach shoes, and sunscreen in their cubby. | Winch Board with the 'Grinch' |
| The board is pulled along the beach by an electric winch. No boat is involved. Lots of fun. |
| Winch Wakeboarding is a safe alternative to conventional boat pulled wakeboarding, utilizing a gas powered winching system, students learn the basics of wakeboard, wakeskate, and kneeboarding, while being pulled at speeds of up to 20 MPH. There is always an instructor operating the winch, one in the water, and one setting up the next rider. This process allows students to maximize their learning capabilities and learning potential.

| Bay Play |
Open Water Swimming / PFD Training. Many children fear swimming in salt water when they first come to camp. Most hardly swim 100 yards without stopping. Yet, by the last day of their Open Water Swim Class, most campers age 9 and older swim a ¼ -mile or even further. Sometimes at camp, children and skippers need a little time off. At Bay Play, everyone's favorite "hang out" time, large inner tubes and floating noodles lure campers. Relays or dig ditches, moats, castles and mermaids, and much more thrill our campers. |

| Log Rolling |
| An up and coming sport with a rich history and a promising future, the sport of logrolling is growing all over the country; in fact it could be an Olympic sport someday. At SGASC we brought to South Florida one of the oldest sports in our nation's history. The log is made of roto-molded polyethylene, meaning it is smooth to the touch yet durable enough for a day's worth of entertainment. Additionally, the log is covered with a non-skid surface that provides traction for wet feet. The log measures 8 feet in usable length and is anchored by two rafts in a section of the bay deep enough so that when our little log rollers fall off, they only feel a splash. |
